Crafting Memorable Journeys

Lou Sobo

Lou grew up in Toms River, New Jersey and earned a degree in History from Penn State University in 2003.  After spending many years of teaching social studies and planning and leading student trips, Lou decided to take the leap and start NextStop Tours & Travel.

Today, Lou works with both schools and adult groups, designing and leading customized trips throughout the Northeast. His long experience in education shaped his approach: thoughtful planning, clear structure, and a strong sense of purpose—whether the group is made up of students or adults.

Lou handles the logistics from start to finish—transportation, tickets, scheduling, and coordination—and is there on-site throughout each trip to keep everything running smoothly. Trips are thoughtfully paced, with a balance of planned experiences and time to explore, so the day never feels rushed or disorganized. By taking care of the details and leading the trip directly, Lou makes the process simple for organizers and allows travelers to focus on what matters most: enjoying the experience and the time spent together.

What We Do

At NextStop Group Tours & Travel, we design customized local day trips and overnight travel experiences throughout the Northeast. Each trip is built around the interests, pace, and preferences of the group.  We combine engaging destinations with  meaningful experiences and plenty of time to enjoy the day along the way.

We work closely with each group organizer to shape an itinerary that fits the group’s goals, comfort level, and schedule. No pre-packaged tours here—every trip is thoughtfully tailored to the people traveling.

Our mission is to make group travel simple, well-organized, and enjoyable from start to finish. We handle the details—logistics, tickets, transportation, scheduling, and on-site leadership—so that organizers don’t have to manage countless moving parts.

By coordinating the behind-the-scenes work and leading the trip directly, we allow groups to focus on what really matters: spending time together, experiencing new places, and creating lasting memories.
